Should Violence Be Used To Discipline Children?

Punishment is clearly different from instilling discipline to children. However, corporal punishment is being used by some parents as a mean to correct a child’s mistake. Up until now, argument regarding this issue is still burning hot.

Corporal punishment is associated with spanking, hitting, and beating. In this research, disadvantages of corporal punishment will be clearly seen, also its reason as to why some people agrees to it. This research also aims to understand the effects of violence to children. The difference of punishment and discipline will also be answered.

Surveys, interviews, news and internet articles, have been used. Through this method of study, a lot of information and opinions will be opened up. Opinions and facts are very essential in this kind of study because the different sides of people will be uncovered. Following this procedures, will ensure the validity of the outcome.

Hitting children because of a mistake may trigger them to lose their self-esteem. Fear will instill in their heart that would cause that person not productive, seeing the bad side, that person may always resort to violence plus become more rebellious. These are some scenarios that may happen.
